Four Ordnance Survey OS Explorer maps cover the whole of the Lake District National Park. Their 1:25,000 scale makes them ideal for walking, running and hiking and I use them all the time for route planning. The maps are not expensive and I rarely go walking in the Lake District without them, especially when I’m exploring new territory. The four Lake District maps (reference numbers OL4, OL5, OL6 and OL7) can be purchased from Amazon using the links below. Moreover, Amazon’s Ordnance Survey page includes the full range of OS Explorer maps which covers the entirety of England, Scotland and Wales.
STANDARD ORDNANCE SURVEY MAP OF THE LAKE DISTRICT NORTH-WESTERN AREA, REFERENCE OS EXPLORER OL4
“Explore some of the most iconic Lake District sights from the lakes of Derwent Water, Ennerdale and Bassenthwaite to the isolated, towering peak of Skiddaw. Visit Keswick, perhaps the quintessential Lake District town made famous by Wordsworth, Coleridge and Southey, and the gateway to gorgeous Borrowdale.”

“Get off the beaten track and discover some of the quietest, most remote areas of the beautiful Lake District. Climb Helvellyn, England’s third-highest mountain, from Glenridding for wonderful views down the Ullswater Valley and descend via the glacial bowl of Red Tarn – once voted England’s favourite walk.”
